Vinarija Varina is a small family producer named after the hill between Venčac and Trnavci in the Župa wine area. Wine is made in a restored family cellar built more than a century ago from traditional materials. The estate places Prokupac and Tamjanika at the centre of its identity, drawing fruit from locally grown grapes and the pale, mineral-rich soil known locally as belobrežina. The winery describes hand-picked fruit and a traditional or low-intervention approach; its wines are presented as unfiltered and unfined. The range includes Prokupac, Tamjanika, an amber Tamjanika and rosé. Visits are possible only after advance contact, so confirm the date, tasting format, language and current wines before travelling.
