Niš
Vinski Podrum Malča was founded in 1903 as a cooperative of local grape growers near Niš. Its vineyards lie below the Svrljig mountains, while the cellar turns the history of winemaking vessels into the central theme of a visit. Four wine houses represent different periods. The Roman house uses large Georgian clay amphorae; another evokes medieval Serbia and works with wooden and barrique barrels; the Yugoslav-era house preserves large concrete tanks; and the modern section shows contemporary production. Together they create a clear journey through changing cellar techniques. Visitors can book tours of the four houses with optional tastings and cheese, including wines made in amphorae. A restaurant also publishes paired tasting menus. Confirm the current programme and reservation conditions directly, since prices and packages may change.
