About the Winery

Vinarija Kovačević is based in Irig on the southern slopes of Fruška Gora. Tourism sources trace the family's vine-growing tradition back more than a century and identify Miroslav Kovačević as the third generation. A modern winery was built in 2001, combining contemporary equipment with traditional methods and a broad range that includes still, sparkling, Bermet and oak-aged wines. The Vinska Kuća Kovačević opened in Irig in 2010 as a separate wine-and-food setting for the producer's bottles and regional Vojvodina cooking. Published sources use different scopes when describing estate, organic and partner vineyards, so no single current area is claimed.
