Kraljevska vinarija is part of the King Peter I Foundation complex at Oplenac. King Alexander had the winery built in 1930, and the Foundation began reviving wine production in 2004, planting 11 hectares of new vineyards. The Tourism Organisation of Oplenac reports that the winery makes five wines in limited quantities using grapes from its own plantings. Its year-round museum preserves historic winemaking objects, photographs and a collection of about 280 bottles from the Karađorđević era, kept in the royal cellar 12 metres underground. A reconstructed tasting room adds a contemporary visitor experience to the historical setting. Confirm museum and tasting arrangements with the Foundation before travelling.
