About the Winery

Vinarija Despotika stands near Smederevska Palanka on the Straževica slope, within the Krnjevo wine area. Vineyards at several locations allow the estate to work with Serbian Morava and Prokupac as well as Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet and aromatic white grapes. Published sources disagree on the current total vineyard area, so no single figure is claimed here. The winery has developed a broad visitor setting around its cellar: a tasting hall and terrace overlook Šumadija, while art objects and a small wine museum add context beyond production.
