Vinarija Imperator (& Salaxia)

About the Winery

Vinarija Imperator develops certified organic and Demeter biodynamic wine from a 9.3-hectare vineyard block near Erdevik on Fruška Gora. The first half was planted in 2009 and the second in 2018. Varieties include Grašac, Rhine Riesling, Sila, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Vranac. The winery describes hand harvesting, native-yeast fermentation and minimal cellar treatments, with whites generally matured in stainless steel and reds continuing in Serbian oak. Tastings are booked at its Rakovac address on the edge of Fruška Gora National Park. The official site states that tastings are not organised during the September and October harvest. Confirm all current arrangements directly; Salaxia's separate services are not attributed to Imperator.
